Ikeja Electric has attributed the reduced hours of electricity supply across its network to a shortfall in power allocated to it from the national grid.
The electricity distribution company disclosed this in a public notice issued on Monday, October 19, 2026.
The company said the reduced allocation had affected the amount of electricity available for distribution to customers across its network.
“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding,” the notice stated.
Ikeja Electric said it was engaging relevant stakeholders to improve the available power supply.
It added that it would continue to distribute the electricity received from the national grid as efficiently and equitably as possible.
The company also assured customers that it would keep them informed as the situation evolves while appreciating customers for their understanding and continued partnership.
