The Working People United (WoPU), a grassroots civic movement and workers’ support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has commended the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, for what it described as a historic achievement—the commissioning of 31 landmark projects within just 28 days.
In a statement signed by its National Coordinator General, Comrade (Prince) Williams Eniredonana Akporeha, WoPU hailed the feat as a remarkable demonstration of visionary leadership, administrative capacity, and political will to deliver meaningful development to the people of the FCT.
“To commission 31 landmark projects in just 28 days is an accomplishment that, by every reasonable standard, would seem virtually impossible. Yet, Barrister Wike has shown that what appears impossible can indeed become reality through visionary leadership, meticulous planning, discipline, determination, and purposeful governance,” Comrade Williams said.
He noted that the achievement is a shining testament to Wike’s belief that public office is a sacred trust that must be exercised with diligence, courage, accountability, and measurable results.
Comrade Williams further observed that while the accomplishment is unprecedented, it is not surprising given Wike’s track record as Governor of Rivers State, where his administration became synonymous with bold infrastructure development, rapid project execution, and people-centred governance.
He stressed that Wike has brought the same passion, discipline, and commitment to excellence to the FCT, surpassing expectations and reaffirming that true leadership is defined by consistency, vision, and results.
In recognition of his extraordinary service, WoPU announced that it has conferred on Barrister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike the WoPU Responsible Citizen Award Badge. According to the group, the badge represents excellence, responsible leadership, accountability, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to nation-building.
“Exceptional service deserves exceptional recognition. This award is a symbol of appreciation for his efforts in delivering impactful governance and improving the lives of residents of the Federal Capital Territory,” Comrade Williams stated.
WoPU congratulated the FCT Minister on the uncommon achievement and prayed for Almighty God to grant him greater wisdom, strength, and good health as he continues to serve the nation with distinction.
