President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday congratulated renowned businessman and real estate magnate Sir Olu Okeowo on his birthday, describing him as a symbol of industry, discipline and enduring enterprise.

The president joined family members, friends and associates in celebrating the Chairman of Gibraltar Construction Nigeria Limited, whose investments in Nigeria’s real estate sector, he said, have contributed significantly to national development.

In a statement issued by his special adviser on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised Okeowo’s rise from humble beginnings to becoming one of the country’s most recognisable property developers.

“Sir Okeowo’s rise from modest beginnings to building one of the country’s most recognisable private real estate portfolios reflects the enduring Nigerian spirit of industry, discipline, and long-term vision,” the President stated.

Tinubu noted that the businessman’s development of high-value properties had continued to inspire confidence in indigenous enterprise and demonstrated the capacity of Nigerian investors to compete at the highest level.

“His work in developing high-value properties speaks to a standard of excellence that continues to inspire confidence in indigenous enterprise,” he added.

The President also commended Okeowo’s philanthropic activities and community support initiatives, saying they had strengthened his legacy beyond business and commerce.

“His commitment to philanthropy and community support is worthy of commendation. This has complemented his business success and strengthened his legacy beyond commerce,” Tinubu said.

According to the President, Nigeria’s progress would continue to depend on individuals who quietly build sustainable ventures, create jobs and invest patiently in long-term value creation.

“Nigeria’s progress will continue to be shaped by men and women who build quietly, invest patiently, and create value that endures beyond their time,” he noted.

President Tinubu prayed for continued good health, strength and fulfilment for the businessman as he marked another year.

“I pray that Almighty God will continue to grant him good health, strength, and fulfilment,” the President added.
