The University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, Lagos will commission the Kola Adesina Simulation Laboratory on Friday, December 4, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
The commissioning ceremony will take place at the facility, located adjacent to the Faculty of Management Sciences Building.
Dr. Kola Adesina (MFR) is widely recognized for his outstanding philanthropic contributions and unwavering commitment to talent development, human capital advancement, and capacity building.
Through his numerous initiatives, he has consistently demonstrated a passion for empowering individuals and fostering sustainable socio-economic growth.
An alumnus of the University of Lagos, Dr. Adesina is a distinguished Nigerian entrepreneur and the Group Managing Director of Sahara Group. He previously served as Chairman of Egbin Power Plc and currently chairs the boards of Ikeja Electric and AXA Mansard Insurance Plc.
Dr. Adesina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and a Master’s degree in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
He has also completed executive education programmes at Harvard Business School and The Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program. In addition, he is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
