Kwankwaso Hails Adeleke’s Victory On His Re-election As Osun Governor

Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (RMK), opposition leader and Vice-Presidential Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re‑election, describing the victory as a resounding triumph for democracy and a clear affirmation of the people’s mandate.

Kwankwaso noted that the people of Osun State had once again demonstrated their democratic resolve by endorsing Governor Adeleke, candidate of the Accord Party, who was officially declared winner of the Osun State Governorship Election held on 15 August 2026.

In his congratulatory message, RMK commended the citizens of Osun State for turning out to exercise their civic rights, stressing that the outcome underscores the principle that “when citizens remain committed to their civic responsibilities and make their voices heard, the people’s will must prevail.”

He further praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the polls and urged all stakeholders to continue to uphold the values of credible, peaceful, and transparent elections.

“Congratulations once again to Governor Adeleke and the good people of Osun State,” RMK stated, emphasizing that the victory represents not only a personal achievement for Adeleke but also a collective success for Nigeria’s democratic process.
