The family of late Nollywood veteran, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has dismissed reports and a circulating video claiming that his daughter, Shakirat (Kira) Taiwo, recently gave birth to a baby boy.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Haleemah (Lima) Taiwo, another daughter of the late actor, issued a firm disclaimer, urging the public to disregard the false information.

“Please disregard the information currently circulating that my sister has given birth. This is not true. At a time when our family is mourning the loss of our father, we kindly ask everyone to stop spreading or sharing unverified information about our family,” she wrote.

The viral video, which described the alleged newborn as “My Daddy’s Carbon Copy”, suggested the birth occurred just days after Ogogo’s burial. The family has now clarified that the claims are baseless and misleading.

Mourning Period
Ogogo, a celebrated figure in Yoruba cinema, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after battling stage-four cancer. He was laid to rest the following day in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, according to Islamic rites.

The family emphasized that while they appreciate the prayers and support of fans and well-wishers, they deserve privacy and respect during this difficult period.
