The Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede, issued the alert through the council’s health authorities, calling on residents to remain calm while taking proactive steps to prevent the spread of the deadly virus.

Olojede stressed the importance of regular hand hygiene, avoiding contact with the blood or bodily fluids of suspected cases, and immediately reporting any suspected symptoms or exposure to relevant health authorities.

The chairman advised residents to be on the lookout for warning signs including fever, severe weakness, headache, vomiting, and diarrhoea, particularly among individuals who may have had contact with infected persons.

While acknowledging public concerns, he cautioned against the spread of misinformation and stigmatization, urging citizens to rely solely on updates and guidance from official health agencies.
