The 2026 edition of the Women on the Rock programme at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Rock of Ages Parish hosted by Pastor Nkechi Amah, climaxed on Sunday, October 25, with a special thanksgiving service dedicated to women following a week-long spiritual event themed “Women of Glory and Honour.”
Delivering the keynote message, the wife of the Provincial Minister of God (Pastor Segun Omotosho), Pastor Chigozie Omotosho, drew her teachings from Genesis 2:21-23, emphasizing the unique place of women in God’s divine plan and the importance of embracing both physical and spiritual honour.
She explained that honour attracts glory, joy, and divine favour, stressing that women are not ordinary beings but individuals specially created with great value, purpose, and virtues. Pastor Omotosho urged women to appreciate their God-given identity and resist societal pressures that undermine their dignity and spiritual virtues.
According to her, true honour emanates from a person’s inner spirit rather than outward appearance. She encouraged women to carry themselves with dignity as bearers of God’s image, reminding them that they are not a mistake in creation but uniquely fashioned by God.
Pastor Omotosho also called on husbands to cherish, forgive, and lovingly correct their wives when necessary, while encouraging women to love and support their husbands in building harmonious homes.
Highlighting examples of spiritually honourable women in the Bible, she referenced figures such as the Shunammite Woman and the Widow of Zarephath, noting that their faith, obedience, and devotion earned them divine recognition and blessings.
She further emphasized that women, created from the rib of man, carry the honour and glory of their Creator and should uphold the virtues God has deposited in them.
The sermon inspired the congregation, particularly the women, to embrace their divine purpose, uphold godly values, and live lives worthy of the glory and honour bestowed upon them by God.
