The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, has linked the success of ongoing reforms in the extractive industry to transparent and ethical public communication, promising to deepen accountability and citizen engagement across the sector.

Alake made this commitment in Abuja, after being conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON).

The award, presented by a delegation of the Council in the Minister’s office, recognizes his lifetime of contributions to strategic communication, ethical public engagement, and national development.

Speaking during the conferment, the Director-General of ARCON, Dr. Olalekan Fadolapo, remarked that the honour is a well-deserved tribute to a leader who has effectively utilized strategic communication as a tool for driving structural reforms.
