Chief Simon Eze, a key stakeholder in the Akpugo 4 Peter Mbah – 2027 movement and a major mobilizer in Nkanu West Local Government Area, has congratulated Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah on emerging as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 Enugu State election.

Eze issued his congratulatory message on Friday after Governor Mbah was declared winner of the party’s direct primary election conducted across the state.

The Lagos-based businessman, CEO of Seamark Electric Plc and Golden Tree Hotel, Satellite Town, described Mbah’s victory as a reflection of the confidence APC members and Enugu residents have in his leadership. He also commended party members for their peaceful conduct and loyalty during the primaries.

“Your second-term endorsement comes on the heels of the transformational programmes your administration has embarked on since 2023. In less than four years, Enugu State has been reshaped into a 21st-century economy, with progress in entertainment, tourism, governance, and security,” Eze said.

He praised Governor Mbah’s focus on vulnerable groups and his achievements in health, education, housing, agriculture, and security. According to him, these accomplishments made Mbah’s unanimous endorsement by APC leaders inevitable.

“We are proud to have you as our governor. We pray for God’s continued strength, wisdom, and resilience for you to overcome the challenges of leadership,” Eze added.

Governor Mbah’s victory was formally announced after the APC Governorship Primary Election Committee concluded collation of results at the International Conference Centre, Enugu, on Friday, May 22, 2026.

In his acceptance speech, Mbah thanked party members for their trust and pledged to sustain developmental projects across the state. He described the nomination as a major responsibility and promised to continue prioritizing infrastructure, economic growth, and improved public services.

Mbah’s emergence as APC candidate comes months after his defection to the ruling party, a move widely seen as reshaping the political landscape in Enugu ahead of the 2027 elections.
