Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, received resounding support today from traditional rulers in Ikorodu, led by the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, during a courtesy visit across the division.
The royal fathers expressed strong backing for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Hamzat, and other Lagos APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections, describing the partnership between Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat as a stabilizing force for Lagos’ continued progress.
Governor Sanwo-Olu hailed his deputy as a “reliable brother and partner in governance,” noting that Hamzat’s experience and steady leadership make him the right person to carry the baton forward.
“Lagos is simply too important to leave to chance. Together, we are making sure our progress never stops,” Sanwo-Olu declared.
The visit underscores the administration’s deep ties with traditional institutions and its determination to consolidate achievements in infrastructure, security, and economic growth as Lagos positions itself for the future.
