The Executive Chairman of Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede, joined Christian worshippers at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Rock of Ages Parish, Satellite Town, Lagos, on Sunday, July 19, 2026, to participate in the Sunday service.
Hon. Olojede was warmly received by the Zonal Minister, Pastor Gladson Ikechukwu Amah, who formally acknowledged his presence and introduced him to the congregation.
Though a Muslim, the council chairman’s attendance reflected a profound spirit of inclusivity and respect for interfaith harmony. His presence in the church auditorium symbolized unity, mutual respect, and the shared values of faith and community that transcend religious boundaries.
The service also doubled as the thanksgiving celebration of the Excellent Men of RCCG Zone, following the successful conclusion of their annual retreat on marriage. The event drew a large turnout and was marked by a powerful sermon delivered by the Provincial Pastor, Pastor Segun Omotosho, who emphasized the responsibilities of men as heads of their households and the importance of building strong marriages.
During the service, Pastor Amah invited Hon. Olojede to address the congregation. In his remarks, the chairman expressed gratitude to the people of Oriade LCDA for entrusting him with leadership. He reassured them of his unwavering commitment to good governance and emphasized that leadership thrives on collective responsibility and collaboration.
He encouraged the congregation, many of whom are residents of the Oriade constituency, to engage constructively with his administration by offering thoughtful criticism where necessary and commendation when deserved.
Hon. Olojede reaffirmed his dedication to working tirelessly for the progress and development of Oriade LCDA, concluding with an appeal for the community’s continued support and cooperation in building a stronger, more prosperous council area.
