Nigerian content creator and actor, Jubril Oladapo Gbadamosi, popularly known as Officer Woos, has strongly denied recent social media allegations linking him to drug trafficking and claims that he announced the death of a close associate.
In a press statement issued on Friday, June 19, 2026, by his legal representatives, Versed Attorneys, the allegations were described as false, malicious, and defamatory.
According to the firm, anonymous social media accounts had circulated claims suggesting that Officer Woos had been arrested since 2025 for alleged drug trafficking activities.
The same accounts also alleged that he publicly announced the death of a colleague on his official platforms.
Versed Attorneys dismissed both claims, affirming that their client has never been arrested, investigated, charged, or connected to any drug-related offence.
“Both claims are entirely false, fabricated, and without any basis whatsoever,” the statement read.
The lawyers further emphasized that Officer Woos has never announced the death of any colleague, friend, or associate on his social media accounts, describing the publications as deliberate attempts to mislead the public and damage his reputation.
The firm noted that the circulation of such falsehoods constitutes defamation under Nigerian law, carrying both civil and criminal consequences. They stated that their client demands an immediate and unconditional retraction from all individuals and platforms involved in spreading the allegations.
“Our Client categorically denies the said publications in their entirety and demands an immediate and unconditional retraction,” the statement added.
Versed Attorneys also called for a public apology to be issued on the same platforms within 48 hours of the statement’s release. Failure to comply, they warned, could result in legal proceedings against the original publishers as well as those who continue to repost or amplify the claims.
“We have the instructions of our Client to take all necessary legal actions,” the lawyers affirmed.
The firm urged the public and media organizations to disregard the allegations and rely solely on information released through Officer Woos’ verified channels and official representatives.
