Stakeholders from diverse sectors in Akpugo, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State, spanning education, religion, artisanship, politics, and cultural associations, have reaffirmed their collective commitment to the reelection of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of the community, Chief Simon Eze, a prominent political stakeholder and Lagos-based businessman, emphasized that Akpugo remains united and resolute in its support for Governor Mbah. In a statement released to newsmen on Tuesday, Eze, who is the owner of Seamark Electric Plc and Golden Tree Hotel in Satellite Town, Lagos, described the people’s determination as “focused, irrepressible, and unwavering.”
According to him, the stakeholders are not only prepared to cast their votes but are also investing their resources and mobilizing grassroots support to ensure the governor’s reelection. He stressed that the people of Akpugo see Governor Mbah as a visionary and compassionate leader whose administration has consistently delivered the dividends of democracy, particularly to the vulnerable segments of society.“
There is no vacancy in Enugu Government House until 2031,” Eze declared.
“There is no division among us in Akpugo or across Enugu State. Our stakeholders are speaking with one voice, working assiduously to return a leader who is God-fearing, committed, and unrepentant in his drive to transform our state.”
Chief Eze further noted that Governor Mbah’s achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment have strengthened the people’s confidence in his leadership. He assured that Akpugo stakeholders will continue to stand firmly behind the governor, ensuring that his vision for a prosperous and inclusive Enugu State is sustained beyond 2027.
