The much anticipated GTCO Fashion Weekend 7th edition will kick off November 9th through to 10th at the GTCentre, Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Lagos.
Expectedly, the fashion industry is in for another exciting experience as the annual consumer-focused fair is designed to showcase the best of Africa’s Finest fashion to a global audience.
Over the years, the event has firmly established its place as an incubator for diverse talent, creativity, and enterprise in fashion retail, bringing together some of Africa’s prominent fashion brands alongside relatively newer labels to interact with universally celebrated fashion icons and engaging style personalities. In keeping with tradition, this year’s event will feature insightful masterclasses and thrilling runway shows together with free stalls for over 140 carefully curated pop-up fashion retailers. Colourful façades, lively music, and a delightful ambience are popular elements of GTCO fairs and work together to create a multisensory, thoroughly fulfilling experience for all attendees.

Meanwhile, GTCO which is literally known for organizing fashion masterclasses that provide fashion entrepreneurs unique opportunities to learn from global industry leaders and experienced brands is not resting on its oars to offer something unique that will remain indelible in the minds of the stakeholders. With Promoting Enterprise as a recurring theme, the 2-day event will remarkably open fashion enthusiasts and fun seekers to 12 runway shows that will bring to the fore, Africa’s finest designers and international designers during the brand’s 7th edition of fashion weekend which according to the organizers promises to offer an exciting experience to all target audience.
Specifically, day 1 of the Master Class, November 9, will feature Lulu Kennedy, a fashion editor with the topic Incubating Talent: Supporting The Generation between 4pm to 5pm whilst Patricia Bright, a fashion influencer will be doing justice to the topic Style, Influence+ everything in Between: Creating your online world, that will kick off from 5:30 pm to 6:30pm.
Similar, day 2 of November 10 will accordingly offer the floor to Sheika Daley, a make-up personality and she will be dealing with the topic, A Maestro in the World of Celebrity Makeup Artistry from 4pm to 5pm, and Ted Gibson on his part will take care of the topic, Iconic Hair: The Hollywood Story, this will take place between 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
For day 1 runway lineup, which will start by 7:30pm on the list are, Gert Johan Coetzee, Onalaja, Orire, Hue by Idera, Romeo Hunte, Sukeina.
However, day 2, November 10 which is the climax of the whole 2024 fashion weekend will bring on stage Eric Raisina, Selly Raby Kane, Ituen Bassey, Tolu Coker, Xu Zhi and Laquan Smith respectively.
