Dr. Tunji Olugbodi, Executive Vice Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer of Verdant Zeal Group, has called for intentional leadership and strategic planning as essential tools for organizational growth.

Speaking last week as guest speaker at the Nigerian Baptist Convention Administrative Council Retreat in Oyo, Dr. Olugbodi delivered a keynote on “Setting and Achieving Organizational Goals in the Context of the Nigerian Baptist Convention.”

The retreat, convened by the newly elected President, Rev. Dr. David Olusola Idowu, brought together senior leaders of the Convention to seek divine guidance and chart a roadmap for future growth.

Dr. Olugbodi emphasized that “a shared vision becomes more powerful when there is a clear plan to carry it forward,” stressing that clear priorities, shared responsibility, and consistent follow-through are critical to translating vision into meaningful progress.

He noted that within a faith community, leadership is not only about strategy but also stewardship — of people, resources, and responsibilities entrusted to leaders. “We must be intentional about the future we hope to build,” he said, commending the Convention’s commitment to prayerful reflection and deliberate planning.
