Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal have been knocked out of the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup after losing to Spain in the Round of 16 clash.
The game was measured with both sides keeping each other at bay, before Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino got the winner in the 90th minute of the game.
Ronaldo had announced that this will be his last World Cup, as the 41-year-old bows out of the competition without winning it.
Spain will now face either USA or Belgium in the quarterfinals.
