Former federal lawmaker, Hon. Bimbo Daramola, who represented Ikole/Oye Federal Constituency of Ekiti State in the 7th National Assembly, has strongly dismissed speculation linking him to a possible 2027 political bid under the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a fiery social media post on Sunday seen by Veracity Desk (veracitydesk.com), Daramola a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) described the rumours as “madness of unlimited proportions” and “laughable,” insisting he has no ties to the NDC.
“2027? Me? NDC? … Dey play! I don’t even know anyone in NDC,” he wrote, adding that his silence may have been misinterpreted by detractors eager to drag his name into political speculation.
The former parliamentarian, popularly known for his outspoken style, urged his supporters and well-wishers to disregard the claims, stressing that he remains focused on his personal pursuits outside partisan politics.
“Bimbo this, Bimbo that… Nah una go taya. Abeg make una leave me make I dey my dey. Happy Sunday my beloved friends and well-wishers. Have a splendid week and a great month ahead,” he concluded.
Daramola’s remarks come amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general elections, with several opposition parties seeking to attract prominent figures. His categorical denial signals that he is not part of such moves, despite attempts by detractors to link him to new political platforms.
