Stakeholders from Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area have pledged their unwavering support for Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that the Enugu Government House remains secured for his leadership until 2031.
The pledge was made during a high-level meeting coordinated by Chief Simon Eze, a Lagos-based businessman and CEO of Seamark Electric Plc and Golden Tree Hotel, where community leaders, party stalwarts, youths, students, artisans, religious groups, and traditional rulers gathered to strategize for Mbah’s re-election campaign.
Chief Eze, speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, stated emphatically:
“There is no vacancy in Enugu Government House until 2031, after Peter Mbah has completed his second term.”

The stakeholders praised Governor Mbah’s first term in office, which began in 2023, describing it as marked by exemplary leadership and significant improvements in infrastructure, public transportation, and healthcare delivery. They noted that his financial expertise has strengthened Enugu’s position as a leading economic hub, while his inclusive governance style has earned him credibility as “a leader who listens to stakeholders and the populace.”
Call to Mobilise for 2027
Chief Eze urged residents of Akpugo and the wider Nkanu West community to mobilise in large numbers for the 2027 elections, stressing that Mbah’s second term would consolidate progress and align seamlessly with the APC’s commitment to development and prosperity.
“Governor Mbah is a tested administrator whose legacy in infrastructure, fiscal discipline, and governance continues to resonate across the state. Returning him for a second term will propel Enugu into a new era of prosperity and innovation,” Eze affirmed.
