Speaking on this year’s theme, “Girls’ Vision for the Future: Educate, Empower, Elevate,” the council boss said the theme aligns with his administration’s vision of building a society where girls are equipped with the tools and support needed to succeed.

Addressing girls in communities including Ibeshe, Imore, Imude, Ilashe, Igbologun, Ijegun, as well as other riverine and upland settlements, the chairman delivered a strong message of hope and encouragement.
“Your dreams matter, your future matters,” he declared.

Hon. Olojede highlighted key areas of focus under his administration, including:

•Improved health and well-being
•Protection against all forms of abuse
•Equal opportunities for growth and achievement

He further pledged continued investment in safe schools, digital learning initiatives, healthcare services, and empowerment programmes designed to prepare girls for leadership and success in a rapidly changing world.

The chairman also called on parents, teachers, and community leaders to play active roles in supporting young girls, stressing that investing in the girl child remains one of the most effective ways to secure a brighter future for society.

Encouraging girls to remain determined and focused on their aspirations, he urged them to stay in school, believe in themselves, and never allow limitations imposed by others to define their future.

The message concluded with warm wishes to all girls across Oriade LCDA as they joined millions around the globe in celebrating a day dedicated to recognizing the achievements, rights, and immense potential of the girl child.
“When you invest in a girl child, you invest in a brighter tomorrow,” Hon. Olojede stated.
