Chief Simon Eze, a respected stakeholder from Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area, speaking on behalf of community leaders, associations, and interest groups, has lauded Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for his decisive support of the ongoing investigation into Thursday’s runway incident involving the state-owned airline, Enugu Air.

Eze described the governor’s stance as a clear demonstration of exemplary leadership, noting that by prioritizing safety and accountability, Mbah has once again proven his commitment to the welfare of the people of Enugu State and the integrity of the airline’s operations.

He emphasized that the governor’s swift endorsement of the probe reflects not only his dedication to transparency but also his determination to ensure that aviation standards in the state remain uncompromised.

According to Eze, “Governor Mbah’s leadership continues to inspire confidence. His actions show that he values the lives of our people above all else and is committed to building institutions that stand on safety and trust.”

Chief Eze further assured that stakeholders across Nkanu West and beyond stand firmly behind the governor’s vision, pledging their continued support for policies that strengthen public confidence in the state’s infrastructure and services.

By backing the investigation, Governor Mbah has sent a strong message that safety is non-negotiable, and that Enugu State will not compromise on the standards required to protect its citizens and sustain the credibility of its airline.

Reaffirming the Akpugo community’s unwavering support for Governor Peter Mbah’s re‑election, Chief Simon Eze—owner of Seamark Electric Plc and Golden Tree Hotel in Satellite Town, Lagos—praised the governor’s uncommon leadership in tackling long‑standing infrastructural challenges across Enugu State.

According to him, the people of Enugu had long yearned for a leader capable of reversing decades of infrastructural decay, and Governor Mbah has “ticked almost all the boxes” in critical sectors including health, transportation, security, agriculture, tourism, hospitality, the economy, and education.

Chief Eze noted that the governor drew a clear line between politics and governance immediately upon assuming office, describing him as a modern leader driven by the philosophy of good governance. He added that performance indicators place Mbah among the most effective subnational leaders in Nigeria today.

He further commended the administration’s labour‑friendly policies, highlighting that benefits once reserved for state workers now extend to local government employees without prolonged negotiations. The implementation of minimum wage and other entitlements across the board, he said, reflects the governor’s goodwill toward grassroots workers.

Eze maintained that the scale of infrastructural development across Nkanu West and beyond justifies sustained support for the administration. He urged residents not to be swayed by misinformation, stressing that Governor Mbah’s projects and policies are visible and impactful throughout the local government area.
