Nigerian entrepreneur, economist, and investment banker, Atedo Peterside has commended a young Nigerian identified by the handle @savvynigerian for producing a tribute video which highlighted the founding story of Stanbic IBTC Holdings.
Atedo who is also the founder of Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc and Anap Business Jets on his personal X account said he “doff his hat” for the poster boy, adding that the development underscores the growing role of artificial intelligence in storytelling and digital content creation, particularly among young Nigerians leveraging technology to revisit and document corporate and national histories.
“I’d like to give a special shoutout to @savvynigerian, a talented young Nigerian who created a beautiful tribute to the IBTC/@StanbicIBTC story without being commissioned by anyone.
“This video was brought to my attention by young people who saw it circulating on social media. It is amazing to see how our youth are now creatively using tools like AI to tell stories based on publicly accessible information only.
“I doff my hat to you.”

The social media had since been agog with how @savvynigeria showcased the early history of IBTC—now Stanbic IBTC—focusing on its origins and the youthful leadership team that established the institution, reportedly in their 30s. Among those referenced is Wale Edun, who was part of the founding group as well as Atedo Peterside amongst others.
