Dapo Olagunju, the Managing Director of JP Morgan Nigeria and West Africa has been bestowed with the honorary Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN).
Olagunju was conferred with the highest honour for bankers during the Institute’s 2025 investiture ceremony held on Saturday, at the Banquet Hall, Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (National Arts Theatre), Iganmu, Surulere, Lagos with eminent personalities, top government officials, captains of industry and members of the Institute in attendance.
The highly revered investment banker and risk analyst was honoured alongside other distinguished figures in Nigeria’s financial sector and leading industry executives.
Reacting to this feat, a close family relation to the honoree, Femi Olagunju said, “Congratulations on this well-earned triumph. I hope you keep climbing onto the ladder of success without glitch or any form of encumberance. The sky will never be your limit but a springboard to greater achievements. Meanwhile, CIBN on its part noted that the honour recognises outstanding leadership, professional excellence, and remarkable contributions to the banking and financial services industry in Nigeria.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President/Chairman of the Council of the CIBN, Professor Pius Olanrewaju, commended Mr. Olagunju and other recipients for their visionary leadership and impact-driven approach to corporate governance, innovation and sustainable banking.
