The CEO of Seamark Electric and Golden Tree Hotel in Satellite Town, Lagos, Chief Simon Eze has called on all stakeholders and the entire good people of Enugu State to renew their support for the re-election of the State Governor, His Excellency Peter Mba, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Chief Eze made this appeal in a statement issued on Wednesday citing what he described as “impressive and verifiable developmental strides” recorded by Mba’s administration in less than three years.
He noted that the appeal was based on performance rather than political considerations, stressing that governance outcomes should take precedence over partisanship.
“I respectfully urge all relevant support groups, pressure groups, civil societies, Student Unions, Trade Unions, critical stakeholders across formal and informal sectors and the entire good people of Enugu State to form a united front and support the continuity of His Excellency, Governor Peter Mba beyond his current tenure, in recognition of his commitment to development, prudent resource management, and people-focused governance,” the statement read.
Chief Eze maintained that he personally inspected several projects, including road construction, urban renewal initiatives, and public infrastructure carried out by the Governor, noting that development efforts were being extended beyond major urban centres.
“Various independent findings including mine clearly reveal a government that is deliberate and consistent in its development agenda. The spread of projects across various communities reflects a clear understanding of the needs of the people,” Eze said.
He also commended the administration’s financial management, stating that available evidence suggests careful planning and efficient utilisation of resources, adding that the governor has remained focused on governance, ensuring continuity in project execution and service delivery.
Eze however warned that disrupting the current administration by the opposition could stall ongoing projects and reverse gains already recorded, while also urging the people not to be deceived by unserious politicians who only want to hoodwink the people and loot their resources for personal gains.
“Enugu State is at a critical stage where continuity is essential to consolidate ongoing initiatives. Supporting Governor Peter Mba for a second term is in the best interest of the people.
“This is not merely a political declaration, but a moment of reflection, of evidence, and of conviction, where governance is judged by results rather than rhetoric,” Eze stated.
Eze further commended Governor Mba for stabilising the political environment and advancing development initiatives. He added that the governor has prioritised road construction, completed abandoned projects, improved healthcare delivery, and supported agriculture to boost food security and diversify the economy.
He described Mba’s leadership style as people-oriented and reform-driven.
He said, “I Chief Simon Eze alongside other well-spirited Enugu State residents and stakeholders unequivocally endorse Governor Peter Mba for a second term as Governor of Enugu State. We do so because he has shown resilience in crisis, commitment to development, and capacity to lead with purpose. All we are saying is that no vacancy in Enugu government house until 2031”
Eze however called on all political actors to prioritise development and public interest over partisan interests, insisting that leadership should be judged based on performance and accountability as seen in Mba’s transparent and credible administration.
