The attention of concerned APC members in Zamfara State has been drawn to a reported statement credited to Senator Orji Uzor Kalu warning Governor Dauda Lawal that “Zamfara will lose if you don’t play politics with Tinubu.”
While we appreciate Senator Kalu’s concern for national unity and political synergy, we strongly disagree with the insinuation that Zamfara’s fate lies in the hands of one individual’s political posture. Zamfara is an APC state from its grassroots to its core political leadership. Our loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC-led Federal Government is not in doubt.
It is Governor Dauda Lawal, not Zamfara, who risks political irrelevance if he continues to alienate himself from the center and the people’s party. The state remains firmly in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President and is already benefiting from the visionary leadership of key APC figures such as His Excellency, Dr. Bello Matawalle, Minister of State for Defence, His Excellency, Distinguish Senator Abdul-Aziz Yari Abubakar, among others.
Let it be clear; Zamfara will not lose. On the contrary, Zamfara will rise with or without the cooperation of an opposition governor who is fast losing touch with the aspirations of his people.
