Nigerian media houses have pledged to provide full coverage for Mogaji Wole Arisekola’s daughter’s wedding.
In preparation for the event, the President of the Newspaper and Television News Editors Association, Mallam Mohammed Umar Ali, sent a congratulatory message to Mogaji Wole Arisekola, Publisher of StreetJournal Newspaper and Chairman of Nigeria’s Online Media Practitioners.
In his message, Mallam Ali described Mogaji Wole Arisekola as a selfless and inclusive Nigerian who has greatly supported journalists both in Nigeria and abroad. He shared his personal experience of Mogaji’s kindness, recalling how Mogaji helped him secure his first visa to Dublin in 2003.
“Yes, Mogaji Wole Arisekola invited many journalists to Dublin in 2003,” Mallam Ali said. “We were part of the event he organized for the wife of the former Vice President, Chief Mrs. Titi Atiku Abubakar. That was the first time I met top journalists like Chief Dele Momodu of Ovation Magazine, Chief Bisi Olatilo of Biscon Communications, Chief Dr. Tosin Dokpesi of AIT, Mrs. Seun Olagunju of NTA, Mr. Seun Oloketuyi of BON, Mallam Yussuf Danijo of Voice of Nigeria, Mr. Biodun Kupoluyi of The Punch, and Mr. Wale Adenuga of City People Magazine, Mr Tunde Moshood of Fame Magazine. It was an unforgettable experience.”
He added, “Now, the little daughter we met in Dublin is getting married, and it brings great joy to the Nigerian media community to celebrate her. On December 19, 2024, Insha Allah, we will all gather to honor you, sir. I pray for your long life, good health, and more celebrations in your family.”
