The Chief Executive Officer of MTN Nigeria, Karl Toriola, says though the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced a 50% tariff increase for telecoms operators in the country, the implementation of the tariff raise has not been approved by the regulator.
Toriola, who made this known in an exclusive interview with Channels Television in Lagos, said a proposal has been sent to the regulator for the implementation of the tariff raise.
