Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede and his management/executive team at Oriade LCDA on Thursday, December 25, 2025 officially declared open the three-day Christmas Grotto organised for children in Satellite Town and other adjoining communities within the locality.
The Chairman who was accompanied by his adorable wife reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the well-being and future of Oriade LCDA children, emphasizing the critical role children play in shaping the destiny of the local council, State and the nation as a whole.
Hon. Olojede added that planning a Christmas Grotto for children in the LCDA which has never happened before was a delightful experience filled with fun and joyful activities that create lasting memories. He further noted that it helps to provide a perfect opportunity for family bonding and to celebrate the holiday together without travelling too far.
In his open show of love and passion for the children at the venue, Hon. Olojede maintained that apart from the entertainment part of the show, he said that event equally allows children to develop essential social skills, such as teamwork, communication, and cooperation which will ultimately encourage the children to learn about the significance of the holiday and its traditions.
The event which started December 25 (Christmas Day), will continue December 26 (Boxing Day) and finally come to a close on December 27. It was anchored by Oriade LCDA in collaboration with Pace Entertainment.
The Christmas Grotto accordingly had it’s venue at First Bank Sports Complex by Ayinke Timson road where children in their high spirit had the opportunity to explore free activities like Train Track Stay and Play Sessions, Bouncing Castle, Face Painting, Music, Dance Stage, Family Games, and many more fun activities.
Similarly, gamers also had access to PS4, PS5, and even virtual reality games. Children also made a visit to Santa’s grotto where they captured memories with family Christmas portraits.
The event was put together by Oriade LCDA in collaboration with Pace Entertainment.
