As part of efforts to enhance connectivity and ease of movement, the Oriade Local Development Council Area (LCDA) under the leadership of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede has redoubled its commitment by increasing the pace of work currently ongoing in different parts of the locality.
The executive Chairman who was seen Sunday morning, October 18, 2025 monitoring the projects that are simultaneously taking place at various locations in Oriade LCDA asked for residents’ cooperation, noting that the council will continue with the year-round maintenance, using a wide range of intervention methods such as sectional repairs, overlay works, interlocking, pothole patching, carrying out various interventions on arterial and feeder road, as well as drainage channels spanning across the LCDA to accelerate infrastructure renewal.
Hon. Olojede in the spirit of comaraderie however advised residents to show continued support to government policy and regulations in their respective communities to ensure protection and avoid activities capable of damaging the huge investment in infrastructure which the government at the grassroots had painstakingly carried out.
Some of the areas witnessing government’s intervention monitored by Veracity Desk (veracitydesk.com) are Community Road Satellite Town; Jimoh Street, Agboju off Old Ojo Road; Moshalashi street-Onireke Community, opposite Ojo Army Barracks; Ayinke Timpson Phase 2 Satellite Town, to mention but a few.
Meanwhile, owner of Golden Tree hotel and Suites at Ayinke Timpson, Chief Simon Eze who has been a consistent voice in the community and also a philanthropist, said Oriade LCDA has stayed on course and making tangible progress, deepening investments in infrastructure that transform lives, connect communities and drive economic growth.
Chief Eze further assured that the executive Chairman, Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede has promised to continue the delivery of life-impacting road infrastructure projects, adding that all ongoing projects will be completed at record time to reflect an unwavering commitment to infrastructure renewal and inclusive development.
However, other residents while appreciating the Chairman for his unrepentant zeal to make life better and more abundant in the community seized the opportunity to appeal to the leadership of Oriade LCDA to help rehabilitate Unipetrol road describing it as a gateway to other arterial and feeder roads, and other major streets and Estates in that all-important corridor.
