The CEO of Golden Tree hotel at Ayinke Simpson Street, Satellite Town, Lagos, Chief Simon Eze has hailed the executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede for his equitable distribution of developmental projects across the wards of the council in the last three months of his administration.
The hospitality merchant made the commendation during a chat with some newsmen on Monday at his office, adding that the LCDA Chairman is making applaudable giant strides and as well attaining socio-economic feats that could make the area attract a mega city status within a shortest possible time.
He also stressed that Olojede’s administration has facilitated some projects in tandem with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda that caters to people’s welfare such as comprehensive health centre, renovation of some dilapidated school buildings, among others.
Eze also showed appreciation to the President for granting autonomy to government at the grassroots.
“We must also commend the leadership President Bola Tinubu GCFR for granting financial autonomy to the 774 local government areas in the country. Government at the grassroots, if well-operated, will ensure a better existence for our people. President Tinubu took due cognisance of this and courageously took the bull by the horns, and today those of us in Oriade LCDA are better for it,” he said.
The hotelier equally gave credit to the leadership style of the Council Chairman, especially in the areas of reconstruction and rehabilitation of access roads across the locality.
“It is worthy of emulation that the council could have attained a lot of feat within three months of Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede’a s assumption into office. I think that is commendable and the synergy that is existing between him, the legislative arm, civil service management team and the entire workers is also commendable.
“I must emphasize that the road infrastructure projects of Hon. Olojede have significantly influenced effective transportation, revived many businesses, increase owners revenue profile and as well reduced the scourge of insecurity in our neighborhood through the intelligence gathering initiatives that are put in place. It has also improved supply chains, as well as delivery of goods and services. People can now predict their journey times, no more traffic congestion, no more delays in appointments and the menace of perennial flash flood has also reduced to the bearest minimum.
“In the last 3 months, Hon. Rasak Olojede has become synonymous with many things and for many reasons. For some, he is one to make promises and go all out to keep them and for others, his passion for the welfare of the people is second to none. But what many cannot deny is that our LCDA Chairman from the inception of his administration succeeded in warming his way into the hearts of hundreds of thousands of dwellers in Oriade community.
“The ability of Hon. Olojede-led administration to take on so many projects simultaneously shows Nigeria still have men of integrity, dignity who are passionate about development and not personal gains. No doubt, Oriade LCDA, in recent times, has become a signpost of what other LCDA crave for,” Eze stated.
