Social media users have descended on former spokesperson of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Council, Daniel Bwala, after he urged Nigerians to be patient over President Bola Tinubu’s planned cabinet reshuffle.
Bwala who made the appeal while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, had said that the timing of the reshuffle was entirely at the President’s discretion as Tinubu would likely make his decisions based on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) assessments of his ministers.
“He will do it when he wants to do it. The good thing is that he must have formed his own opinion based on assessment when they introduced this KPI assessment and any minister who has not been able to meet up with this assessment will be able to know,” Bwala said.
Urging Nigerians to exercise patience while the President takes his time to make his decision, Bwala said Tinubu has the final say in evaluating his ministers.
“It is the President who is now the overall assessor. He even engaged the Nigerian people, he said ‘go and talk to them about the programme and he will do it when he will do it.
“I want to urge Nigerians to have the patience, the President will do it. It can be tonight, it can be tomorrow, it can be anytime.”

However, Netizens were quick to jump in and drag Bwala with many believing he was actively lobbying for an appointment from the President.
While some also see him as a sellout after insulting Tinubu in the run-up to the 2023 presidential election, others say he is trying to get into Tinubu’s good books for a possible appointment.
