Astute politician and popular Nigerian movie star, Funke Adesiyan has signaled her intention to represent Ibadan Southeast/Northeast Federal constituency at the National Assembly come 2027, Veracity Desk (veracitydesk) can confirm.
This recent move by Adesiyan has attracted widespread enthusiasm amongst supporters even as she was widely regarded as a grassroots-driven politician with strong acceptance across communities within and outside her constituency.
The Nollywood actress who is running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while reacting to this latest development, said, “Recently I had the honour of engaging with the good people of my ward in Ibadan Southeast local government to notify my leaders of my intention to represent our Ibadan Southeast/Northeast Federal constituency at the national assembly come 2027.
“It was a moment of warm reception and honest conversations which reminds one of why service must always begin with the people.
“I need your prayers and encouragement as this journey unfolds.
