The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Headquarters Logistics Command has announced that sections of routes around the Murtala Muhammed Airport axis in Lagos will be temporarily closed on Saturday, October 18, 2025, to allow for its routine 10km Walk/Jog Exercise.
According to a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Squadron Leader Abigail Ologun, the exercise will commence at 6:00 a.m. and end by 8:00 a.m.
The physical fitness activity, the NAF said, is part of ongoing efforts to promote the health, well-being, and operational readiness of its personnel.
During the two-hour exercise, sections of the Airport Road from Murtala Muhammed Airport 2 (MMA2) to the Murtala Muhammed International Airport will be closed to vehicular movement.
Members of the public are advised to make use of alternative routes and comply with traffic directives from NAF and other security personnel who will be on duty to ensure safety and minimize inconvenience.
The statement added that normal traffic flow will be restored immediately after the exercise.
