Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has praised the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) board for the improved standard of the league.
The governor commended the board, led by Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye, while speaking at the 81st Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) held in Ibadan.
Expressing satisfaction with the decline of the “win-at-all-costs” mentality in the Nigerian top flight, Governor Makinde described the trend as a positive development for Nigerian football.
He also expressed surprise at the increasing number of away victories in the NPFL, commending both the NFF and NPFL for this improvement.
