The Lagos state government has announced the postponement of the proposed repair works on the Ogudu–Oworonshoki Bridge, initially scheduled to begin with a traffic diversion plan.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed that a new date for the commencement of the repairs will be communicated in due course.
While no reason was given for the rescheduling, the state government reassured residents and motorists of its continued commitment to public safety and minimal disruption during ongoing and upcoming infrastructure upgrades.
“We sincerely appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued cooperation,” the statement read.
The repair works, when commenced, are expected to improve the structural integrity and traffic flow on the strategic link bridge which connects key areas in Lagos Mainland.
