A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Edo State, Prince Kassim Afegbua has extended warm wishes to Nigerians as citizens witnessed the year 2025.
In a statement he personally made available to newsmen early January 2025, the astute and dogged politician said:
A NEW YEAR IS HERE
“The much awaited New Year 2025 has just been ushered in with panache, pomp and ceremony. If nothing, the fact that we are alive to breathe such fresh air of a brand new year, in good health, calls for celebration. Those in prisons cannot inhale such freedom. Those in the hospitals are looking forward with hope for early recovery. Those who need healings of different types, shapes and forms, are begging God to grant them wellness. We that are hale and hearty should appreciate God for our sanity, soundness and wellness.
“I have no doubt in my mind that this New Year will bring forward, a new thinking, and better opportunities that would make us relish God in His infinite mercy. We are humans, and driven by our imperfections, but in the fullness of such limitations, we remain focused in our journey of life; a trajectory that reduces our days and years on earth. In all we do, let us remember that God watches over us and our actions. We must be humane in our disposition to humanity, generous in our appreciation, godly in our emanations and patriotic in our love for country.
“You remain one of those whose feeling I cherish, whose company I treasure, whose association I value and whose humanity I adore. As we cross over to a brand new year, with vigour, hope, and rich expectations, I wish to commit you into the hands of God Almighty that this year shall not be your last. All those who receive this message will join me after 365 days to celebrate God in praises for a well spent year. May we all continue to rejoice in the grace, mercy and protection of God Almighty, the ultimate elixir in our journey through life’s bramble forest. Amen.
