Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has refuted claims of his purported defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the rumors as baseless fabrications by opposition elements in the state.
In a statement issued in Asaba on Tuesday by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, the Governor dismissed the allegations, stating they were attempts by the opposition to undermine his growing acceptance and bridge-building efforts across political divides.
Governor Oborevwori reiterated his commitment to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), emphasizing that his strong followership and support among Deltans left him with no reason to switch parties.
He affirmed his dedication to fulfilling the MORE Agenda, his administration’s development blueprint, for the benefit of all Deltans.
The Governor assured that he would continue collaborating with the federal government to ensure progress for the state and the nation.
He urged Deltans to disregard the rumors, labeling them the work of mischief makers and fifth columnists bent on distracting his administration.
