Hon. Olojede Reaffirms Commitment To Develop Oriade LCDA As Stakeholders Of Ayinke Timson Road Host Him

The Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede has restated his commitment to investing in policies and programmes that will make communities safer, more accessible, and ready for sustainable growth as well as creation of infrastructures that meet socio-economic needs in all the Wards and Units of the Local Council.

He made these remarks on Friday, December 12, 2025 during a meeting with some key stakeholders of Ayinke Timson road at Golden Tree Hotel and Suits.

The high profile meeting was hosted by Chief Simon Eze (owner of Golden Tree Hotel and Suites). Also present at the meeting was Rear-Admiral Akindele Timson, a highly revered Patron whose late mother was named after the famous Ayinke Timson road in Satellite.

Others at the meeting were Prince Reuben (Prototype Estate Chairman), Orinrewo Festus (Mobil Road), Awe Sunday (Bank Road Satellite Town), Jude Afulukwe (Tony Efodile Street), Michael Ezike (Army Road Chairman), Michael Odeashi (Flour Mill Estate Chairman) and Emmanuel Ajibulu.

The executive Chairman known for his humble and affable disposition noted that his administration aims to ensure no community is excluded in the pursuit of a greater Oriade LCDA.

“We have continued to invest in initiatives that make our communities safer, more accessible, and better equipped for sustainable development, as well as creation of infrastructures that meet socio-economic needs,” he said.

He added that the government wants every resident to thrive within a society that is economically viable, structurally supportive, and positioned to ease business across the LCDA.

Hon. Olojede reaffirmed his commitment to deepening collaboration with Community Development Associations (CDAs), Landlord Associations and other critical stakeholders, saying his government will continue empowering communities.

He also pledged to sustain initiatives designed to enhance the quality of life for all residents across board.

Chairman noted that CDAs and Associations remain dependable partners whose self-help projects and community initiatives support the vision of his administration. He also urged residents in all CDAs to maintain the exemplary efforts that have helped position Oriade LCDA as a preferred destination. He also asked for their support for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) not just at the local level but also at State and Federal levels.

He also stated that the milestones recorded within his 100 days in office symbolises a shared commitment to strengthening grassroots governance and encouraging citizen engagement in local development as well as introduction purpose-driven projects that can uplift rural communities.

“Through your support we have successfully recorded progress in road construction and rehabilitation, security enhancements, and essential infrastructures in many nooks and crannies. We are also embarking on rehabilitation of our local primary school and ready to give it the attention it deserves. Similarly we would also support our Police station and give them the support required to expand their capacity and make their office more comfortable to meet with contemporary realities.

“These efforts will essentially reflect our commitment to building inclusive, resilient, and thriving communities across Oriade,” he said.

However, when the stakehokders raised concerns over Pharmacare Gossad blocked drainage, the Chairman assured them that his team will look into it and ensure the needful is done so that the blocked drainage will not impact negatively on the newly constructed Ayinke Timson road.

The Chairman further maintained that the newly constructed road infrastructure should be protected by the residents, while also assuring stakeholders that government will collaborate with them to ensure that activities that could compromise the integrity of the road are prohibited.

When asked about when Unipetrol road and other roads that needed to be rehabilitated in the LCDA will be attended to, the Chairman said his team has records of all roads that should be attended to, he said his government will not renege in its ambitious road rehabilitation and expansion initiatives but residents should exercise patience with the government.

He added that development under the THEMES+ Agenda of Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwoolu of Lagos State remains anchored on collaboration, innovation, and shared responsibility adding that the well thought out agenda will be domesticated in Oriade LCDA.
