Your Excellency, I sincerely celebrate you as you commemorate the 65th anniversary of your birth for a life that has been well lived, especially in the service of God and humanity. I celebrate a man of vision, a man of purpose and achievement. I celebrate a leader and mentor of men, Dr Ayodele Peter Fayose, nicknamed “Peter the rock” and “Osokomole”.
Born November 15, 1960 and served meritoriously in Ekiti State from 2003 to 2006, and again from 2014 to 2018. Less than 24 hours to his special day, “Peter the rock” is already rocking the internet with many netizens coming up with amazing tributes to celebrate Nigeria’s astute and fearless political juggernaut.
Fayose through God’s kindness and benevolence is blessed with a virtuous woman, Feyisetan who has remained a pillar of support to him and also to their wonderful children.
The former Governor has used his youthful and adult life to contribute positively to politics and governance, especially in Ekiti State, where he served as Governor. He is a true democrat, an advocate of good governance, restructuring and true federalism in Nigeria; a prominent and highly revered figure in Nigerian politics for his forthrightness and grassroots connection.
Sir, I deeply appreciate the engaging moments and productive discussions on topical national issues which we share on a weekly basis. Your sharp memory, high moral rectitude, respect for elders, commitment to Christian virtues, patriotism for Nigeria and warm spirit remind me, or better still validate the fact that you epitomize hard work, perseverance, doggedness, humility, and diligence. The fact that you treasure the virtue of true friendship and loyalty to any cause you believe in, gives you the cutting edge.
The story of Fayose is the story of courage and resilience. His enviable impacts and indelible reputation in public service truly showed that our democracy can truly work and yield many dividends for the greater good of the people especially the underdogs.
Looking back over the past 65 years, I am sure that you, your family and indeed your larger family of associates and admirers do have cause to be grateful to Almighty God for having granted you a life of great accomplishment and abiding fulfilment.
Out of my personal convictions, I write to express my warm felicitations to you on the landmark occasion of your 65th birthday anniversary. As you deservedly celebrate this glorious day, it is my prayer that Almighty God, who has richly prospered you and ordered your every step this past glorious years, will continue to bless you with good health and fulfillment in the many more years of worthy service ahead of you.
