….Calls Him Grassroots Mobilizer
The Media Director of the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, Prince Kassim Afegbua, has delivered all the four Wards in Okpella to his party’s candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, trouncing the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party in the governorship election in Edo State.
Commending this feat, a group which identified itself as Okpella Progressives Voice (OPV) described Afegbua as a goal getter, grassroots mobilizer with an unrivaled spirit of patriotism, doggedness and integrity.
OPV convener, Philip Agbese while commending Afegbua in a chat with some media executives including Veracity Desk [veracitydesk.com] said “I salute Prince Kassim Afegbua for his dynamic and energetic leadership, as well as his commitment to the assignment of making APC record this milestone in Okpella especially in these challenging times. He is undoubtedly a goal getter, grassroots mobilizer with an unrivaled spirit of patriotism, doggedness and integrity.”
Shortly after casting his votes, Philip sued for peaceful conduct of the election while expressing satisfaction over the turnout of voters.
He said: “We are happy with the turnout of voters in this election. I was told INEC officials came right on time, and voting went well.
“I think it’s time for us to see and understand that electoral process is not meant to be one of violence. The election that leads to a democratic process is the best form of validating what true democracy is all about.
“I want to reiterate that this contest is about peace, progress, and prosperity. Everyone has the right to be able to advocate for everyone to freely express themselves, fairly, and transparently. I wish Senator Monday Okpebholo best of luck in this electoral process and I thank the law enforcement agencies for upholding and deepening the principles of democracy.”
