Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has expressed profound sorrow over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as the end of an era defined by service, discipline, and patriotic commitment to Nigeria.
In a statement signed by Mr. Gabriel Odu of NiDCOM, Dabiri-Erewa highlighted Buhari’s efforts in repositioning Nigeria on the global stage, strengthening diplomatic ties, and championing the involvement of Nigerians in the Diaspora in the country’s development.
“President Buhari’s support for the establishment of NiDCOM in 2019 reflected his strong belief in the potential of the Nigerian Diaspora to contribute meaningfully to national progress,” she noted.

She urged Nigerians at home and abroad to emulate the late President’s values of integrity, patriotism, and selfless service, while praying for the peaceful repose of his soul.
Dabiri-Erewa also extended heartfelt condolences to the Buhari family, the Government and People of Katsina State, and all Nigerians, praying for God’s comfort and strength to bear the loss of a leader whose contributions to national growth spanned several decades
