Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo has emerged as the gubernatorial candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to seek re-election in the forthcoming November 8, 2025 election in the state, Veracity Desk (veracitydesk.com) can confirm.
Soludo emerged as the standard bearer for the party after a primary conducted by the party’s leadership on Saturday April 5, 2025.
The excercise held at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka, by a 5-man Electoral Committee headed by Chief Uche Nwegbo (Deputy National Chairman, South) who oversaw the conduct of the successful exercise amidst representatives of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Recall it was reported how Governor Soludo widley enjoyed endorsements from various groups and individuals for a second term in office, after he quietly picked up his expression of interest and nomination forms at the APGA National Secretariat in Abuja.
The Saturday APGA primary election was witnessed by over 3,260 delegates who unanimously settled for Soludo as their preferred candidate.
The party’s leadership was also praised for its commitment to peaceful and stable politics, with the screening process conducted without any rancor or controversy.
