The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has raised the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from its former price of 925 per litre to 960 per litre in Lagos.

Veracity Desk (veracitydesk.com) gathered that this development is said to be effective from Tuesday, January 21, 2025 (today) across all its retail outlets in the country.

The NNPC’s fuel prices are always different depending on location, with Lagos usually having the cheapest price template for the consumers.

However there has been no official confirmation from NNPC.

This latest price upward adjustment will literally mark a substantial change for consumers, who will now be paying significantly more at the pump. This price hike may also trigger a widespread impact on the economy, affecting transportation costs and the prices of goods and services across the country.

Details later.
