A former lawmaker who represented Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1 (Oye and Ikole), Hon. Bimbo Daramola has advised stakeholders in the aviation industry to fully activate the sector’s strict regulations and ensuring safety standards aren’t compromised.
According to Daramola who is otherwise known as Congressman, airlines must follow a zero-tolerance policy to avoid unnecessary drama or violation of rules while also mitigating unruly passenger behaviour in a most courteous and professional manner.
While reacting specifically to the conduct of a female passenger, Ms. Comfort Emmanson
who reportedly assaulted an air hostess and clashed with airport security before being forcefully removed from the aircraft said disruptive, violent and non-compliant behaviour that interferes with the safe and orderly operation of a flight must never be tolerated.
Recall Comfort was on Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos Sunday, August 10, 2025 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
The ex-parliamentarian further cautioned that attempts at emotional blackmail by recalcitrant passengers against constituted authorities in the course of their statutory duties often make them too complacent , weak and indulgent at the expense of efficiency and normalcy.

“Please help share widely before the heat is turned on IBOM AIR and they become the villain while another person comes to do something worse and then play the victim, luring us with emotions against the discharge of statutory responsibilities.
“Attempts at emotional blackmail of constituted authorities in the discharge of their duties make them too complacent , weak and indulgent at the expense of efficiency and normalcy!
“We must support and encourage firmness and not bend to accommodate those who exhibit errant behaviours and then turn around to rely on sentiments for exoneration.
“Every action will attract consequences..
