Arisekola Preaches Peace In Marriage, Advises Couples To Jettison Factors That Can Bring Regrets During Old Age

The National Chairman of Association of Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria (AMPON), Mogaji Wole Arisekola has described unity, forgiveness, tolerance and indissolubility as essential ingredients for a successful marriage that can be sustained to old age.

The celebrity journalist and Ibadan born businessman in his social media post on Tuesday further implied that love is a journey, not a destination, and that a healthy, enduring marriage must be mutually built day by day, even as couples enter their senior years.

The publisher of The Street Journal magazine added that both partners should be cognizant of posterity, noting that flourishing relationships among couples will help to keep old age away from bitterness, virulence, regrets and other challenges.

He however called for firmness among couples so as to engender marital fulfillment.

Arisekola said:

“The time you’ll truly realize that your partner is a part of you is when you are 60 and above. Everything begins to slow down—your daily activities, your sense of reasoning, and many other things.

“Please, if you still have the opportunity to resolve any misunderstanding between you and your partner, kindly do it now. Both of you will need each other at a certain stage in life. The children will eventually leave to start their own lives, but only you and your partner will remain together.

“Tomorrow may be too late. Settle those differences between you and your partner today.

“Just my candid advice, oo.
