This seems not the best of times for Hon. Tolulope Sadipe, (APC-Oluyole Federal Constituency) as she continues to suffer rejection and humiliation at the All Progressives Congress (APC) meetings, not limited to her areas of representation.
It will be recalled that Sadipe allegedly suffered her first open disgrace at the APC Oluyole Local Government meeting at her first attendance of the party meeting two years after her assumption of office for her second term sometime in October last year where she was disgraced and thoroughly humiliated.
At the meeting, which she attended with over 25 security operatives, Hon. Sadipe was booed and called unprintable names, leading to her hurriedly leaving the meeting, over what many described as an outing of shame for a serving lower chamber member.
The humiliation continued when on resumption of the meeting of the APC, Idi-Ayunre sector held at St. Michael Primary School, Odo-Ona nla on Wednesday, Hon. Sadipe was not spared by party members, who complained bitterly about her nonchalant and disrespectful attitude to the party, the leaders and members.
She was rebuked with chants of ‘ No, to 3rd term agenda. No 3rd term for you, Sadipe…’
Investigations by our correspondent, however revealed that the Wednesday shameful outing and humiliation was allegedly triggered by one Alhaji Rasaki Akilapa, who was fingered as the only leader supporting the Honourable in the entire federal constituency.
Akilapa, was also faulted for having made negative remarks on an aspiring House of Reps member who donated money and refreshments for the meeting.
Irked by Akilapa’s alleged unwarranted unpleasant and arrogant comments, the meeting roared against him as they started cursing and singing abusive songs against him and Hon. Sadipe.
It was further gathered that Hon. Sadipe and Akilapa left the meeting with their heads bowed, apparently to avoid being attacked as the aggrieved members were throwing pure water and other missiles to send them out of the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Vice Chairman of the party in Oluyole LG, Mr Tunde Odemakin, said that the house of representative member was not directly humiliated or disgraced, but affirmed that members were not happy with her and her attitude towards the party and other members.
“It is not totally correct that she was disgraced or humiliated, but if you’re conversant with how political meetings usually go, it is usually rowdy, but it is not true that she was disgraced. The members only showed their grievances.
“They expressed their minds towards her and her attitudes truly she has not been good towards the party, and members merely showed their disenchantment towards her and the leader.
On the issue of third third-term agenda, we are only hearing it as a rumour, I can assure you that the move or dream cannot fly, but when the time comes, party members will determine which way we are going,” the party VC told our reporter on the phone.
