Access Bank Plc has announced plans to launch a new digital platform designed to help Nigerians discover and enjoy December entertainment with fewer hassles.

The platform, named DettyFusion, will serve as a one-stop hub for events, ticketing, payments and curated festive experiences during the Christmas and New Year season.

Why it matters

December remains Nigeria’s busiest entertainment month, drawing millions of residents, travellers, diaspora visitors and event organisers into a period popularly known as Detty December.

Industry analysts say a centralised platform could reduce common pain points such as fake tickets, payment failures, event information gaps and last-minute disorganisation.

The bank says the product will also support the growing creative industry by offering event organisers a more secure digital space to reach audiences.

Bank explains vision for platform

Speaking ahead of the launch, Access Bank’s Head of Mobility, Ishmael Nwokocha, said the platform was built to improve safety, convenience and enjoyment during the festive season.

“Every December, Nigerians look forward to moments that bring joy, connection and unforgettable experiences,” he said.

“The launch of ‘DettyFusion’ by Access Bank will create a single gateway that makes it easier, safer, and more convenient for customers to enjoy the thrills of Detty December.

This platform aligns with our commitment to innovation and delivering lifestyle solutions that go beyond banking. DettyFusion brings together key features that meet the needs of today’s digitally active and experience-driven audience.”

How DettyFusion works

According to the bank, users will be able to:

Browse an updated calendar of concerts, festivals and nightlife events.

Buy tickets and access exclusive discounts.

Join curated entertainment experiences.

Make fast, secure digital payments.

The platform is expected to benefit both everyday users and entertainment entrepreneurs navigating a competitive market.

Industry reactions

Digital economy analysts say the move reflects a wider trend among Nigerian banks expanding into lifestyle technology.

Some event promoters also welcomed the announcement, saying improved digital infrastructure could reduce operational losses and enhance audience safety.

What’s next

Access Bank is expected to roll out the platform before the peak of the holiday season.

The bank says DettyFusion reinforces its role “as a lifestyle enabler” while giving customers especially younger, tech-savvy users, a more organised festive experience.
