Emadeb Foundation proudly supported the Knosk 100 Naira a Day Charity School’s Hackathon, held at the school’s premises in Kuje, Abuja.
This impactful event was designed to foster a problem-solving and solution-driven mindset among students.
This term’s theme, “Innovating to Reduce Farm Produce Wastage Among Local Farmers in the Kuje Community,” challenged students to develop practical and innovative solutions for their community.
The Hackathon featured 10 dynamic student groups who approached the theme from STEM, policy, and entrepreneurship perspectives. Divided into junior and senior teams, the students presented their innovative solutions with prototypes.
Standout projects were recognized, and the 1st and 2nd place winners in both divisions were awarded cash prizes, courtesy of Emadeb Foundation.
Speaking at the event on December 13, 2024, the Executive Director [ED] of Emadeb Foundation Mrs Olugbesoye Olujimi remarked, “When students like you become creators, inventors, and innovators, you help solve real-world problems, from improving healthcare and education to tackling environmental challenges.”
The Hackathon aligns with one of Emadeb Foundation’s mission to promote quality education and community development.
“Knosk School’s core values resonate with our commitment to fostering innovative solutions for community progress,” the ED added.
In addition to Emadeb Foundation, the event welcomed representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Zenith Bank, Amnesty International, the Embassy of Ireland, and Prime University Kuje amongst others.
These dignitaries commended the students’ creativity and the foundation’s commitment to advancing education and community engagement.
Through its sole sponsorship of the Hackathon, Emadeb Foundation reaffirmed its dedication to nurturing a solution-driven mindset among young Nigerians.
This initiative seeks to inspire students to become active problem solvers, capable of creating transformative change in their communities.
