A lawmaker representing Amuwo Odofin Oriade LCDA Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Wale Rauf on Friday, December 6, 2024, paid a courtesy visit to the Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship WEY, Commodore MM Braimah.
The astute state parliamentarian was in company of Comrade Chief Austine Ikubese, a Community leader in Satellite Town.
The duo had a fruitful discussion on how to advance and strengthen the miilitary/ civil relationship between the Nigerian Navy and Lagos State Government for the benefits of Lagosians.
Hon. Rauf also used the occasion to brief the Commander NNS Wey on the significant progress made by the Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olushola Sanwo-Olu particularly the milestones recorded on Navy Town road, Maruwa road, and Old Ojo road infrastructure which are due for official commissioning.
Checks have it that Navy Town Ojo is the biggest Navy barracks in Nigeria and interestingly this Naval branch of the Nigerian Armed Forces geographically falls within the constituency of Hon. Wale Rauf.
