Young Nigerian filmmaker Tamilore Adeshiyan premiered a social-conscious film entitled ‘Bridging the Gap.’

The premiere was held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Wintar Studios with two sessions.

The film, which features Udo Odibo, Chris Adeniyi, Tobor Odu, Danny Kassam, Rotimi Adedoyin, Tamilore Adeshiyan, Tariebi Warikoru, Timilehin Osunneye, Mojeed Adeleye, Dayo Ashedu, Tobi Vincent, Romiluyi Ayoola and John Bassey is co-directed by Tamilore Adeshiyan and Erifeoluwa Olurin.

Speaking about the film, Adeshiyan said, “In my master’s project, ‘Bridging the Gap,’ I explored using film as a tool for social commentary, analysing societal realities through a fictional lens inspired by my archived EndSARS footage. The story highlights Nigeria’s generational divide, represented through two characters in a debate that ultimately points to unity as the only path forward. This project marked my official directorial debut and has been accepted into three international film festivals, with more on the horizon.”
